Chocolate cake with white & red frosting (really meatloaf, mashed potatoes, ketchup).
Taco Salads (really waffle bowls with chocolate ice cream for the beans, chopped pecans for the meat, cut up fruit licorice for the green lettuce and orange/yellow cheese, Cool Whip for sour cream, black licorice nibs for olives, maraschino cherries for tomatoes).
Those were about the only jokes told around here on this crazy day- except Maddy thinking that the bus had already come and she had missed it. But she was smart and looked at the clock and knew I was just teasing.
